With an unapologetically simple expression, the CH086 Coffee Table displays an honest balance of geometry and space-saving capabilities. Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1980, its minimalist, rectangular base is softened by a gently curved tabletop with two elliptical extension leaves, attached with brushed stainless steel hinges.
Danish furniture designer Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007) is considered one of the most creative, innovative, and prolific designers of all times, renowned for his precision, great insight into craftsmanship and uncompromising approach to design. Wegner designed nearly 500 chairs in his lifetime and was often referred to as the master of the chair.

Hans J. Wegner’s CH086 Coffee Table showcases a timeless simplicity that remains a classic choice for everyday use. Designed in 1980, its straightforward, minimalist design balances clean, geometric lines in its square legs and rectangular base with the softly rounded, organic curves of the tabletop. Crafted in FSC™-certified solid oak, the table demonstrates Wegner’s organic functionalist idiom in this space-saving, adaptable design. Two extendable leaves mounted on either side with brushed stainless steel hinges broaden the opportunities for use in an assortment of spaces and social settings. The table is available in three different heights: 44cm, 48cm and 53cm.
