Delivery

Goods ordered at carlhansen.com are delivered as standard free of charge in european countries for purchases over EUR 59 (except for non-bridged islands). 


The expected delivery times for the individual items are stated on the respective product pages. If no delivery time is stated for a product, a delivery time of up to approximately 15 weeks must normally be expected for new furniture. If it is necessary for Carl Hansen & Søn to postpone the expected delivery time, you will be contacted by our customer service. You will be informed if the product is not in stock or unforeseen circumstances arise during production etc.

We deliver the goods free of charge to your door on weekdays and our carrier will contact you to arrange a delivery time. 

A ‘White Glove’ delivery to your home, carry-in and placement in rooms as desired, as well as disposal of the packaging.

When buying accessories, your package will be delivered by normal packaging service. You will receive notification electronically via text message. 

LGT Home delivery

Curbside delivery

 


For curbside delivery the goods are delivered at the curb/property boundary.
The following is included in this service
• We notify the recipient through one of the following channels: telephone/text/e-mail to book a delivery time window.
• The recipient is notified about 60 minutes before delivery.
• The recipient always signs to acknowledge receipt, unless otherwise agreed (see below).


Liability for goods delivered without acknowledgement of receipt
• If the sender accepts that LGT delivers the goods without the recipient being at home to acknowledge receipt, LGT is not liable for damage to goods reported later.


Recipient's responsibility
• The recipient must be at home for the entire interval agreed on and help carry the goods if required.
• It must be possible to reach the recipient at the phone number provided to LGT A/S.
• The recipient must inform LGT A/S well in advance of circumstances that may affect the delivery, As an example, a difficult road to pass.
• Cancellations must be made as a minimum one (1) working day before the goods are loaded onto the vehicle (DIP).
• If delivery cannot be effected and this is attributable to the recipient or cancellation is made too late, the freight costs will not be refunded. This applies to all service alternatives.


The following is NOT included
• Delivery to the door and unpacking.
• Delivery is made to extent there is a legally passable road. As an example, the price is exclusive of boat fees and additional delivery from the boat, this must be organized and paid by the recipient.
• Roll-on/roll-off ships are considered passable roads. In the event that LGT A/S has to pay a fee for transport by ship, this will be debited to the customer.


OBS – MAX WEIGHT PER UNIT IS 40 KILOGRAMS.

Indoor

 


Delivery into a private home.
Indoor includes delivery into a private home to a room as requested (a room/place appointed by the recipient).


The following is included in this service
• We notify the recipient through one of the following channels: telephone/text/e-mail to book a delivery time window.
• Delivery of goods into a private home at a place as instructed by and at a time as agreed with the customer.
• LGT A/S instructs the customer to protect floors and ensure free passage to the designated room upon notification (this will also be communicated to the recipient via the Internet and the delivery confirmation).
• We will call the recipient about 60 minutes before delivery.
• The recipient always signs to acknowledge receipt, unless otherwise agreed (see below).


Recipient's responsibility
• The recipient must be at home for the entire time period agreed.
• It must be possible to reach the recipient at the phone number provided to LGT A/S.
• The recipient must provide information about all aspects that might affect the performance of the delivery, As an example, road(s) difficult to use, code for gate, floor, access to elevator, narrow/steep staircases etc.
• The delivery personnel will not take off their shoes due to working environment regulations. The recipient must see to it to protect the floors.
• The recipient must see to it that items obstructing passage of the delivery vehicle or obstructing the actual delivery inside of the goods, if applicable, are removed to the extent this is possible.
• Cancellations must be made as a minimum one (1) working day before the goods are loaded onto the vehicle.


The following is NOT included
• Unpacking.
• Delivery is made to extent there is a legally passable road. As an example, the price is exclusive of boat fees and additional delivery from the boat, this must be organized and paid by the recipient. Roll-on/roll-off ships are considered passable roads.
• In the event that LGT A/S has to pay a fee for transport by ship, this will be debited to the customer.


Unpacking and removal of packaging (additional services)


LGT A/S will unpack the delivered goods and remove and dispose of the packaging.
The following is included in this service
• Upon delivery, we unpack the delivered goods, if no tools are required.
• We remove the packaging from the delivered goods.
• We dispose of the packaging.

 

The following is NOT included


• Unpacking is NOT performed if tools are required, such as a screwdriver or similar.
• ONLY packaging from delivered goods is removed.
• Goods other than those delivered will NOT be removed. This means that old goods or similar items will not be removed.
• This service is not offered to islands not connected by bridges.
LGT A/S reserves the right to decline this additional service for particularly large and unmanageable consignments.


Reservations


B2C Indoor prices are for delivery up to and including the 2nd floor in multi-storey buildings comprising starting with a ground floor. A condition for this is easy access for the delivery personnel. The responsibility for this lies exclusively with the recipient.
Delivery can be made to other storeys only by specific offer from LGT.
Units weighing more than 70 kilograms – or items longer than 160 cm – are delivered ONLY by specific offer from LGT.
