Hans J. Wegner designed the CH292 Sofa in 1962, softening his characteristic straightforward carpentry details with relaxed upholstery. The two-seater sofa consists of two carefully upholstered seat and back cushions supported in an expertly crafted FSC™-certified oak frame. Visible backrest slats, wide armrests and dynamic, angled back legs allude to the more familiar Wegner vernacular while soft upholstery offers a relaxed versatility for small living spaces.

Casual Comfort in a Dynamic Design
Elegant and relaxed upholstery enhances a straightforward expression in Hans J. Wegner’s CH292 Sofa. Designed in 1962 as part of the wider CH290 Series, the CH292 Sofa demonstrates a distinctive Wegner identity, combining rigorous and stringent carpentry details with soft and casual upholstery. The two-seater sofa features two carefully upholstered seat and back cushions supported in an elegant hand-finished FSC™-certified solid oak frame. Wegner made a conscious decision not to hide the essential details of the frame, which are accentuated by relaxed upholstery. A visible slatted backrest, dynamically angled rear legs, and wide armrests demonstrate familiar Weger hallmarks, while carefully upholstered cushions in removable fabric or leather lend effortless versatility to this mid-century modern design.
