The first shelving system in Carl Hansen & Søn’s product portfolio, the BM0253 Shelving System was originally designed in 1953 by Børge Mogensen but has only now been put into production. A continuation of Mogensen’s building furniture concept, it is centered on the idea that furniture should be simple enough to endure aesthetic trends while flexible enough to respond to the changing needs of people and the spaces they inhabit.
Made in tubular steel in grey or black and walnut or FSC®-certified oak (FSC C135991), the flexible, module-based design profiles endless possibilities to reconfigure to your changing needs. Cabinets are fitted with sliding doors to seamlessly store items you don’t want on display, shelves can be positioned at varying heights, and with a color palette of classic colors, there’s one to match every interior style.
