Soft to the touch and pleasing to the eye

Kaare Klint, recognized as the father of modern Danish design, created the KK53130 Easy Chair when he was invited to join the Guild’s anniversary in 1935. Klint submitted a variety of distinct designs to the Guild’s celebratory competition under the title “Christmas 1934” – the elegant Easy Chair was amongst them featuring a loose, down-filled seat cushion. The Easy Chair was universally recognized as having perfect construction and very balanced proportions: deliberate features of Klint’s overall design philosophy. Praised as a very modern contribution due to its precise, tight lines and composition, the Easy Chair was then produced for the Guild’s 1937 Exhibition.
